2022 Tencendur Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc has dangled as a shimmery lure for Piper since she was a kid growing up in a household that sought out a bigger, bolder wine experience. When Piper and Ben founded Sealionne on the premise of adventure, freedom and bold strides it felt like the perfect time to step off the ledge and source some Cabernet Franc. Les Collines Vineyard had some available and it felt serendipitious.

Tencendor, the name of this 2022 bottling, is the name of a King Charlegmagne's war horse in the French epic - Song of Roland. It is big, bold and powerful - just like the Cab Franc! 

Vineyard Notes
Les Collines Vineyard. Walla Walla Valley AVA. This vineyard is a stunning representation of Washington. Farmed with a low input philosphy and a focus on environmental impact this vineyard always delivers the goods. The soil is mainly deep windblown loess soil brought in from the glacial period. This vineyard is farmed with the same values Ben and Piper carry with them from their own Estate vineyards through to all their adventures!

Aged 12 months in 50% New French Oak. 35% whole cluster.
